History Heroes: Sport contains individual cards of History Heroes’ forty greatest Sports Heroes. Each card is fantastically illustrated to represent the sportsperson and shows their dates, their flag of birthplace and seven gripping facts about them, including a joker fact about each Sports Hero to surprise and/or entertain.

The Sports Heroes start with the first century BCE Athenian, Pheidippides, said to be the first person to run the marathon. We then charge forwards with heroes like Captain Webb, WG Grace, de Coubertin, who helped devise the modern Olympics, Suzanne Lenglen, Jesse Owens, Sonia Henie, Don Bradman, Juan Fangio, Tanni Grey-Thompson and many more. The Sport heroes come from a range of sports, such as athletics, boxing, football, golf, F1 racing, tennis, rugby, baseball, cricket, basketball, gymnastics, ice skating and squash.

Win the game by collecting the most card by guessing/knowing the facts about each History Hero. You can use the images as clues and you can use the different levels of facts to make it as easy or as hard as you want to play the game.

There are many ways of playing History Heroes quiz card games. Each pack gives suggestions on how to play, or you can make up your own rules if everyone playing agrees to them!
