Wordsy Word Game - Formal Ferret Games

An interesting twist on the traditional word game.

Each round starts by laying eight consonants on the table. Each letter attracts a score from two to five, based on it's position in the grid, with bonus points for less common letters. Players study the eight letters to find the highest scoring word they can. Any letters can be added to those on the grid, allowing for long and interesting words, and more creativity that your average word game. 

The first player to write down a word flips a 30-second timer. That player is now the fastest player, and every other player now has 30 seconds to write down their word. Once time has run out, the fastest player scores their word by counting the point value of each of the matching letters on the board. Other players score their words with bonuses depending how they compare to the fastest players word, introducing an element of strategy to whether you decide to call a word early or not.

After 7 rounds, players add the scores their best 5 words, plus their bonuses. The player with the most points wins!
